LPFC offers football opportunities to wheelchair users. There are options to play recreational football or to develop to play at the highest level in the WFA national leagues. The game is played in bespoke powerchairs offering players the opportunity to play this fast paced, high adrenaline fueled sport to the full. all sessions are based on fun and the development of players regardless of the level of disability. No-one is ever turned away.
Para Endurance offers distances from 1km to the ultimate 160km in a day with Endurance GB, we are here to help you achieve your competitive ambitions with your equine partner. In partnership with Riding for the Disabled, we have developed a pathway which allows you, the rider, to train and ride on your own terms and at whatever level you choose to compete at, by providing you with the additional support you need at all stages of your personal journey. Endurance GB offers low distance pleasure rides ranging in distance from 5km-34km and with no minimum speeds required; we just ask that you get back to the venue by the latest time given by the ride organiser. You can then move on to graded and competitive endurance rides where you can benefit from reasonable adjustments to the Endurance GB rules to help you to compete on equal terms with your fellow competitors. This fantastic sport will take you across the country achieving your dreams.
Marlow Rowing Club offers adaptive and pararowing for recreation, fitness, physiotherapy and competition. An accessible facility with a wide range of adaptive equipment and experienced coaches.
Target shooting is one of the 26 Olympic and 21 Paralympic Sports, as well as being one of the events that make up Modern Pentathlon. It is not generally seen as a mainstream activity, but thanks to London2012 and the success of Team GB, the sport of target shooting has seen a marked increase in interest from all ages and abilities. Target shooting is a sport that anyone, of any age, gender and physical ability can participate in along side each other. It can inspire those individuals who aren't particularly interested in, or capable of taking part in, the popular sports. Ferndown Gun Club has one of the most active memberships of any target shooting club in South West England. Our club continues to produce many of the areas top competitive shooters over a wide range of disciplines. Ferndown Gun Club is an accredited Disability Hub Club.
We are a local Archery Club providing facilities to learn and participate in archery for people who live in Exmouth and East Devon. We welcome interest from all members of the community including disabled people. We run beginners courses periodically throughout the year which provides an essential introduction to the sport. Those who have successfully completed a beginners course are welcome to join our club.
