The Accessible Festival is now in its 5th year and will be hosting it's next event on 12/07/2020 at 1pm. The festival is funded by sponsorship raised by local businesses, many of whom work in the field of disability. The event up to now has been a free event for adults and children living with all types of disability to come along with friends and family to experience a festival type environment where the activities are fully inclusive. The event includes a live music stage, DJ stage, Rebound Therapy, sensory play area, silent disco and UV Rave, Petting area, Accessible climbing walls, adaptive/inclusive gaming, disability football, wheels 4 All and much more.
The Mount Batten Centre Charity Trust has a variety of activity pathways for people with physical disabilities and special educational needs to access land and water based adventurous activities
Sailing - we host a Royal Yachting Association Sailability group Drakes Sailing that provide Tuesday evening sailing sessions in Hawk 20 Keelboats during the summer months
Indoor Climbing - we have onsite a specialist indoor climbing wall, available for group bookings. Some physical disabilities can be accommodated

North East Warriors is an inclusive wheelchair basketball club who compete in the British Wheelchair Basketball National League and the UKBWB Regional League. We are a team that welcome all abilities to come and try this amazing sport, even if you've never played it before. We have players who have played for as long as 15 years and we have players who have never played before. It welcomes all genders and age groups with a lot of social aspects to the sport. We are a team who work hard, work together and support each other.
