Sport: Sitting Volleyball

Sitting Volleyball is a fast and exciting sport that can be played by anyone, irrespective of whether they are disabled or not making it one of the truly inclusive team sports. The only requirement is that you can sit unaided on the floor and can track and move to a ball moving through the air. South Hants welcomes players of all standards who are aged 14 or over. The club is part of a nationwide network of Sitting Volleyball clubs supported by Volleyball England. Training is held every Monday at the Harbour School, Tipner, Portsmouth PO2 8RA between 7-9pm. At DISC we welcome children and adults with a disability and their families. We meet every Sunday at Towcester Centre for Leisure; the first & third Sunday 3pm - 5pm and all other Sundays 4pm - 5pm for swimming only. The usual pattern is 3pm - 4pm sessions in the sports hall such as trampolining, Boccia and football followed by swimming 4pm - 5pm.
